What we collect, and why.

We collect the minimum data needed to run the Service. We use that data to provide the Service to you and meet our legal obligations. We don't sell your data. Third parties only receive what they need to do their specific job (process payments, send email, run our infrastructure). The rest of this document is the legal version.

02How the Service works (privacy implications)

AlphabotAlgo is a software licensing service.You download and run the AlphabotAlgo strategy in your own copy of NinjaTrader, on your own brokerage account. We do not host trading software on your behalf, we do not hold your brokerage credentials, and we do not have authority to place trades in your account — your trading platform does that locally on your machine. What we do collect is described below.

03What we collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account details: email address and password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash — we never store your password in readable form).
• Payment method: handled entirely by Stripe. We receive only the last four digits of your card, card brand, and expiration date — we never see or store your full card number.
• Communications: any messages you send us by email or through support channels.

Information generated by your use of the Service:

• License key activity: when your bot validates its license key against our server on startup.
• Trade reporting data: signals evaluated, trades taken, fills, P&L, and related bot activity that your NinjaTrader instance sends to our reporting API. This data powers your dashboard.
• Account activity: log-ins, password changes, subscription changes.
• Bot heartbeat data: periodic pings from your running strategy confirming it is active.

Information collected automatically:

• Device and browser information: type, version, operating system, IP address.
• Usage data: pages viewed, features used, timestamps.
• Session cookies: used to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

What we deliberately do not collect:

• Your brokerage credentials. Ever. Your login to your broker stays between you and your broker.
• Your Social Security number or government ID.
• Your bank account information.
• Any data from inside your brokerage account beyond what your bot explicitly reports to us via the reporting API.

04How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the Service (license validation, dashboard, reporting);
• Process payments through Stripe;
• Send transactional emails (billing notices, subscription confirmations, security alerts);
• Send onboarding emails during your first 30 days; you can manage non-essential emails in your account settings;
• Provide customer support;
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, security incidents, or violations of our Terms;
• Comply with applicable legal obligations;
• Improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising on third-party platforms. We do not share your trading activity with third parties for their own marketing.

05Third parties who receive your information

We engage service providers who process information on our behalf. Each is bound by contract to use the information only to perform the specific task we hired them for.

We may disclose information when required by law (subpoena, court order, regulatory request) or to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others. We will notify you of any such disclosure unless legally prohibited from doing so.

06Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for the following periods after closure:

• Trade records and billing history: Seven years. This period reflects general regulatory recordkeeping guidance for financial services businesses.
• Account profile and configuration: 12 months after account closure, then deleted unless retention is required by law.
• Support communications: Three years.

After applicable retention periods expire, your information is deleted or anonymized.

07Your rights

Subject to applicable law and the recordkeeping requirements described above, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is inaccurate.
• Delete information that is no longer necessary. (Recordkeeping obligations may prevent deletion of trade and billing history during the retention period.)
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Opt out of non-essential email communications. Transactional emails (billing, security) cannot be opted out of while you have an active subscription.

08Cookies

We use the minimum number of cookies needed to operate the Service:

• Session/authentication cookie: Required to keep you logged in. Expires after a period of inactivity or when you log out.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, Google Analytics, or Facebook Pixel.

09Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including:

• TLS encryption in transit;
• Password hashing (bcrypt);
• Access controls limiting access to production data on a need-to-know basis;
• Audit logging of administrative actions.

No system is perfectly secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law.

10Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Contact info@alphabotalgo.com if you believe a minor has provided information to us.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to your registered address at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
